Protection Policies
Select a policy template for a DDoS protection instance and deploy saved changes.
Overview
The Protection Policies section manages policy templates and access-control rules. Available templates and rules depend on the current instance and the options shown on the page.
Policy Templates
A template is a preset rule set. The page shows its name, ID, description, and whether it is currently active.
- Open the template list in Protection Policies.
- Select a template suitable for the service.
- Select Apply, then confirm the action.
Applying a template may overwrite the current policy configuration. Review it before confirming.
Deployment
After saving changes, select Deploy Policy to publish the configuration. The button shows the deployment state; do not submit again while deployment is running.
Relationship to Access Control
Templates provide preset configurations. Access control manages allowlist, blocklist, filter, and location rules. Actual traffic handling depends on the current template and instance configuration.
