Origin Configuration
Manage forwarding rules from a protected IP to your origin servers.
Overview
Origin configuration defines how traffic is forwarded from the protected IP to your origins. Fields vary by protocol. Confirm that the protocol, listening port, and origin address match the application before submitting a rule.
Add an Origin Rule
- Open Origin Configuration and select Add Origin.
- Enter the rule name, protocol, proxy port, origin servers, and scheduling policy shown in the form.
- For HTTP or HTTPS, complete any domain and protocol-specific fields required by the page.
- Submit the rule, then verify forwarding with a real application request.

Edit
Use the edit action to change the address, port, protocol, or other available fields.
Delete
Use the delete action and confirm removal of the rule.
Deleting the only working origin rule can interrupt forwarding. Verify another route or prepare a rollback before changing production traffic.
Empty State
If the instance has no origin rules, add one before routing production traffic through the protected IP.
